Tuned maintenance
After the WB02 died at 22K and now the 2nd change of plugs as well....
Looking like running a strong tune will require you to change WB02's at 20K and plugs at 10K intervals. Ive found the O2 sensor on GM Parts Direct for $60 (PN: 12589380 for 09's, prolly the same for 08) And the Plugs are about $5/each on GM Parts. I don't have that PN tho, sorry.
When the WB02 went out, the car had a rough idle with a FAINT sound of a boxer rumble to it. Replacing it made that go away but it still stumbled a tiny bit at idle. I replaced the plugs again (had been ~10K) and gapped them to .030. The car idles perfect now, incredibly smooth and very quiet as well!!! Try a tighter gap tuned guys
I drive about 100 miles a day a minimum, in 6 months Ive put 22K on the car. 20K of it was tuned lol! Anyone else putting this many miles on their tuned car? And finally, is anyone else finding anything similar to what I am???

Been running NGK 6510's gapped at .032 for around 8k miles now, no issues. (~2 ranges colder) 6509's may be a better choice (~1 range colder) but for my highway commute & some stop & go, these are good. Color is good & no fouling or misfires.
Steddy2112 will post that I never go over 4k rpm, he makes a comment every time I post about different plugs.
BYT knows better, he's seen some of my logs.
I've been tuned since about 8k I think and pulled the stock plugs at 21k trying to address a KR issue that is ongoing. Stock plugs looked fine also.
90 MPD DD, purchased in 8/08 and I have ~29k on it now. It sits at home during extreme snow days.

I thought about trying 1 range colder, but Im getting good results with the stock plugs gapped tighter now. Maybe next plug change Ill try those out
Yea, he goes over 4K too LOL! There's a screenshot posted elsewhere now going well past that LOL!

Honestly... scan pretty much any car if you have the tools. My '97 Nissan truck, my wifes '09 Yaris... and I see the LTFT drift a lot more than +/- 2%. That amount of drift doesnt concern me at all... and I'm pretty OCD.
When I first got HPT and scanned my bone stock car w/3k miles on it (at that time) it was sitting at -10%.
Having no misfire, knock or blowout issues on the stock plugs here (yet), so staying that route for now. Especially since I have a box of 8 left hehe.

You also have more consistent weather then up north tho too! lol
I leave my house, its 12* LOL. On my ride home it's in the 40's. Def has an effect on the MAF tuning!! I try to tune MAF at lunch time and do Mult by half most of the time. Its pretty stable now!

I've been tuned for almost 20k miles and I haven't changed my plugs yet lol. Looked at them in July and they looked fine, but I'm easy on the car and it doesn't get driven as much as it used to.
I am going to seafoam mine soon. 1 Can in the gas to clean the injectors, combustion chambers, exhaust valves, and hopefully the wideband O2. Suck at little at a time into the vac line on the intake mani to clean the intake valves.
I will be using seafoam at 10k miles .....I had to use a fuel system cleaner on the valves when my car had 1500 miles on it . When I would get on it from 2500-5000 rpm the exhaust note would change and the car would fall on it's face ..... after running the cleaner threw I never had that issue again . I think mine were hanging just because they were tight from being new .....need lubrication more than cleaning . I can see this being a issue in the future with carbon build up thou ....
When stock, 100,000 the plugs are good for. I would guess you shouldnt have to really change the wb02, but if your like me and do a little race gas at the track every week, prolly going to go through some 02 sensors.
