Tuned maintenance
After the WB02 died at 22K and now the 2nd change of plugs as well....
Looking like running a strong tune will require you to change WB02's at 20K and plugs at 10K intervals. Ive found the O2 sensor on GM Parts Direct for $60 (PN: 12589380 for 09's, prolly the same for 08) And the Plugs are about $5/each on GM Parts. I don't have that PN tho, sorry.
When the WB02 went out, the car had a rough idle with a FAINT sound of a boxer rumble to it. Replacing it made that go away but it still stumbled a tiny bit at idle. I replaced the plugs again (had been ~10K) and gapped them to .030. The car idles perfect now, incredibly smooth and very quiet as well!!! Try a tighter gap tuned guys
I drive about 100 miles a day a minimum, in 6 months Ive put 22K on the car. 20K of it was tuned lol! Anyone else putting this many miles on their tuned car? And finally, is anyone else finding anything similar to what I am???

My car is dry as a bone on the outside...oil wise. I didn't think i had anything leaking till i pulled on the sound deadening material on teh HP fuel pump..... It was saturated with oil . I would have never guessed I had an oil leak .... that foam was sucking it all in .
iv looked at the foam, it has some on it but that i splashed on it when i filled the oil, but im gonna take a closer look just in case.
****, on closer inspection i do have a little bit of oil soaked dirt under there. not much though, i cleaned it and ill keep my eye on it. does gm have a proper fix for it yet? or someone link me to the thread with instructions on how to do it right so i can give it to my dealer

Mine had it. That's where I first noticed it. My dealer kept trying to blame it on my oil changes. They finally put dye in my oil and found out that I was telling them the truth and that they were ignorant. Why won't these damn dealers listen to us?
i just found the best delailed insructions with pics on how to fix that leak and the fuel pump oil leak, check it out

I read that post a long time ago. That's how I found my oil leak to begin with. I even showed the post to my service adviser. He still thought I spilled the oil myself. Idiots.

NGK 6509's are 1 step colder Iridiums. 6510's 2 steps colder boosty boy. I've been running the 6510's for a loooong time now at 25 psi with no issues. Still look great after about 10k miles.
The dealer maybe I think I asked Autozone and they didnt have them. Go on Amazon and look I got 8 NGK 6509's for 32.00 shipped and there brand new.
from what i've checked into hun, replace the 2nd unit first. if you can, leave the primary in place.
if the 2nd unit cleans things up, the primary should become error free. unless it is jacked up.
i know youve gotta move the old ones out, but if you can, this would be a way to easily check things out.
people, adding in the upper EGT lamda adder will have a huge effect on 02 life. not all of it, just some.

i never said that.
there are various DTC checks in the system, the range of error is greater on the secondary unit. thus it could cause an issue thats reported from the primary sensor.
this is what i'm being told here, i dont do controls work.
