NOTE: The stock turbo is just not as efficient at higher boost levels, you aren't going to hurt it. And some guys have taken the motor to 30psi on stock internals so I don't think anyone is in any danger at 24 by a long shot. A bigger turbo is more efficient at higher boost levels and E85 or methanol is definitely advisable if you start getting up above like 25 or 26 psi sustained boost
thanks for that note! makes me feel safer lol

Just make sure when you are going to get tuned that everything is running right on your car... No codes, new oil, everything should be dialed in before you go to tune.

Hehehe, I'm already bored of my 600whp. I hope 700whp will keep me happy for awhile. I can't afford to keep putting all my money into this car

Yep. I would. Unless you put very few miles on it between now and then

Just to make sure your tuner isn't tuning over any malfunctions of any kind. Older oil can lose viscosity which can alter performance of the turbo in the car... It's not a huge deal. I got a tune with almost 3,000 miles on my car and hadn't changed the oil yet. But when I was getting my HP tune dialed in I had like 5 miles on an oil change... Wasn't taking any chances.

Which bolt? The one on the top of the flange where the DP connects to the catback? Just take the O2 sensor out... then unbolt the stock DP from the turbo... the catback system should hang down just enough to get the bolt out with a makita impact drill... ask me how I know haha

ok sounds good yeah im just running like 23 psi trifecta tune. i had about 2,000 miles on my oil at that time. so when i go back and mess with my tune i will make sure i change just to be safe.

and also thats exactly how i took my downpipe off. the stock DP is so damn bulky, but the catless DP was no nice and easy to put in haha

15" extension and a swivel head for our ratchet (or drill). it won't effect the tune though if you don't have it on.

Heh... If I see a cop and I'm racing, well... The cop will NOT see me again.

There's actually an interesting story on another forum. Guy DD's an 80's Trans Am and he was on his way home from work when a new Camaro, a Terminator, and a Shelby GT500 all went by him and started racing in front of him. Then a pair of headlights came up on him and flew by him, it was a cop. He said the next thing he saw was the Cobra hauling ass in the oppositre direction and about a minute later the cop turned around just in front of him and pulled over the Camaro and Shelby. When he came up on them the cop forced him to pull over as well.

The cop kept asking who his friend in the 3rd car was and insisted that he was the camera car. The Sergeant arrived and searched his car, no recording equipment at all. He then had him pop his hood and in his words "The Sergeant nearly fell over laughing" The Sergeant sent him on his way saying there was no possible way he was racing with the other 3 cars.

Well if I'm speeding like 5-7 over I'll pull over and take the ticket if they give me one. If it's to the point that I'd be going to jail or getting reckless driving I'd be gone before the cop could pull out/make a U-turn.

Thats what I mean to lol, if its a simple 5-10 MPH over ticket or loud exhaust some bullshit i'll stop for them but if i'm already doing 100+ MPH and I pass a cop, i'm not hitting my brake haha

I never understood why some people I ride with will pass a cop at 120 and then slam their brakes and be like "Dude hes gonna catch us, I am going to jail" haha Keep it floored and say bye bye to your worries lol

Because no matter how fast you go, the radio is faster...and there is, believe it or not, more than 1 cop in this world. Granted, you could run and get away, but likely he will radio ahead and they'll get your ass.

That being said, I was going a bit too fast (120ish) on a Ninja ZX-9 and saw a cop heading the other direction. He immediately hit his lights and went to turn around. I opened up the throttle a bit and a couple exits later at 140mph I took the exit, a couple random turns, and headed home happy. One of the stupider things I've done, but bikes always make me a little stupid.
