Hey guys i recently bought a new 2009 SS cobalt 2.0 turbo and im hearing that the stock psi is 15-17 and im not reaching over 12? is this normal if any info at all plz hit me up

 

Check to see if you have a boost leak.

 

when i first bought mine, before the tune, i usually ran 11-13. elevation can have a loot to do with it too. your car will run very different at sea level as opposed to 4000 feet, temperature would play a roll too. theres lots of things that can affect it, so dont be worried.

 

you can do that too, but with a major leak i wouldnt think you would even be holding a steady 12. plus how new is the car, how many miles are on it?

 

theres 60k on it and the intercooler is a upgraded front mounted greddy...it pulls very good i just heard that most people were getting more boost then that haha so i was curious but ya it usually holds at about 10psi and at 4500-5000rmp jumps to 12 and holds

 

if its only taking 12 psi to make the 260hp/tq, then it will only boost 12psi.
