ive been looking at the zzp z54 it looks like a good deal but i don't see alot of you guys using them n was wondering what u guys think of them. id like to get the s256 or 7 but dont have the uppercharge pipe with a wastegate flange. lmk what u guys like n why

The z54 is a good turbo. Local I tuned put down 420whp (slightly happy dyno, likely closer to 400) on e47, but he also had a boost leak (changed throttle body and didnt boost leak test).

It's nice because its internally wastegated and have a bpv so no additional mods from that standpoint needed. Spools damn quick too.

For the money being direct Bolton I'd say it's a good deal. Jury is still out on whether it will last 40,000 miles.

I've got one, it's quite fun. But my first one blew in 10k with most of it spent cruising and not driving hard. I don't even have 1k on the replacement yet, so time will tell.

i think i read ur post about it.. lol didn't u run the boost above what they "recommended" so they didn't cover the warranty for u? that post is the only thing that threw me off haha

Yeah, I ran 25psi, and they stated after 22-23psi they don't warranty. But they don't have it on the product page stating so, and they advertise it making 480whp on their test car(impossible with that low of a boost level), so that probably played a part in everyone getting theirs warrantied(including me).

I still run the new one at 25psi. I came to the conclusion if it can't hold up it'll be garbaged and replaced with a WR-3 or 4 from PWerks.
