ok turns out it was the map sensor i replaced it. car finally started after a few tries.... drove it to and from work. but had to pull maf sensor after cuz it would just stall also i have no boost would baf maf cuase that. and i already tried cleaning it.

did you check all the charge pipes. im no lnf expert, but a pop noise followed by these symptoms (ignoring the boost gauge), and with the maf sensor needing to be unplugged for it to run, and it building no boost, id say you have a charge pipe that blew off.

Boost leak is certainly possible. Check your intercooler and charge piping. We just had a local slam his intercooler into the bumper support beam edges and it cut his ZZP intercooler open like a tin can.

Sounds to me like you have an enormous boost/vacuum leak.

A local guy was pretty convinced all his problems couldn't be a boost leak then found a huge hole in his intercooler days later.

ive checked multiple times cant really seem to find any. boost goes to 0 from 20 vac would that be normal with a leak?

Boost/vacuum is measured in the im so the vacuum measured would be unaffected by a boost leak.

Clarification: the measurement itself is unaffected, but the pcm would cause fluctuations in the pressures due to the mismatch between measured and calculated levels.

ok so i bought a new maf sensor reset the cel then hooked up the new maf and car still stalls out. but when the cel is on and the sensor plugged in it runs normal. i dont understand, also when cel is off and maf plugged in smells very rich and black smoke.
