Anyone out there using a UNI filter intake filter?

Anybody know off hand the size of the intake tube and the filter element? I.D., O.D.?

Oh, I did not know they made a filter for the TC. That is why I asked. Is it a stock air box replacement element or for an intake?

They don't, but they have universal clamp on filters. So i was wondering if anyone had tried it out. I asked so if anyone had tried it i could get the measurements, rather than having to drive 45 min to my storage bay and measure

If you have an aftermarket intake you need just measure the OD of it and you need a filter with at inlet size and no longer than 6" usually, and no larger than 5" diameter overall.

Are you going to take a hacksaw to the plastic intake tube and put a cone filter on there? I believe the plastic tube is 3" outer diameter.

I too thought abot doing a hack job on the stock intake but because of the MAF sensor there really is not enough room to cut and put a new cone filter on the end.

FYI, DIY intakes for the ss/tc will result in CEL's, all the intakes released for the ss/tc were specifically flow tested ect ect so it wouldn't change the MAF sensor readings and would operate normally until tuned.

Before anyone else posts replies. I thought the intake tube connected right at the airbox. The plan was to simply put a filter on. I realize a custom intake will cause a CEL. Hense, why I asked for the dimensions of the intake tube. Since we got all of that cleared up. NM
