Oh how I look forward to finding tenths of a second by driving different lines or playing with tire pressures and Koni settings, rather than worrying about silly things like the engine overheating or catastrophic engine failure

Pretty sure that motor will still give you all the speed you need. I hope you won't have to touch it for years.

Little update.
I have received all the parts for making the custom turbo oil and coolant lines. Got a turbo blanket and heat wrapping for the DP. Also got an EGT sensor at ECaulk's recommendation.
Just ordered all the gaskets needed from ZZP.

Heard back from Powell yesterday; my transmission is back together and "looked great" on the inside. That was very good to hear. I know there's only ~1,000 miles on it, but they were of course all "serious" miles lol

That's it for now. We're planning on putting together the lines this weekend so I'll update if/when we do.

Here's a picture of Luci taken a week ago, braving the elements and patiently waiting for her turn in between the LS monsters at the shop

They need to scoot those other cars to the side and get ours in. You have road courses to tear up.

lol hear hear.

There's a collection of Vettes, Camaros and Firebirds on the other side of the property as well!

But in all fairness, he's waiting for the transmission, the wrapped turbo and down pipe to come back before he can start. All he's done so far is take the engine out and park it

I got some at my local advance auto but I'm sure it's cheaper through summit.

Ya I've been thinking that I should start doing that before I install but I probably won't do the turbo blanket but was thinking about moving oil feed for turbo on cold side like tomj and others have said but there are s okk many that havent had a lroblwm with from what ive have noticed

Honestly, you could probably get by with using wrap on the turbo. It won't look nearly as nice, but you'd spend 30-ish bucks vs. 200 and probably achieve at least 70-80% of the same result... My ZFR is 100% invisible to the naked eye once it's mounted.

Do you think the turbo blanket would do more then heat draping headers and downpipe with this v band downpipe? I mean I know the turbo gets super hot but I was thinking letting it breathe a little would cool better and also the blanket wraps around I would think the heat would channel the heat down towards the oil feed line

I'm sure the turbo blanket works better the just wrapping, otherwise there wouldn't be such a market for it. I was just saying that in the absence of one, my guess is that heat wrapping would be a lot better than nothing.

Because it's easier to install and you can still make the correlation of temp reading and what the cylinder temps are

Exhaust mani was not off or there. **** drilling cast iron on the car, never doing trying that **** again. Even with a drill press it took a bit to make sure nothing went wrong

Here's what I ordered. This is for both the oil and coolant hoses. Note that ECaulk will be making my AN hoses himself. The only fitting we were missing was the one from the engine drain adapter to AN hose. And forget about the last item, that was for something else

Here's the link to that one hose end fitting we were missing:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aer-fbm1011

I also ordered this (0.5" ID) titanium tubing to go around all the hoses. Probably overkill, but I'm not taking any chances lol

Thanks a lot man!! It gets in the 110's during the summer here so im always worried about heat. I dont course race my car as you none around me. But them drag passes and back roads put some heat in the old girl lmao
I mainly want to reroute oil line and heat rap some stuff! I'm still on my lnf block(133k still pulling strong!) But I'm thinking she's gonna die with the zfr on so just getting ready to get it hooked it to a ldk when that happens lol
