has anyone dynoed an 09 ss/tc
|
I just called my dealer and he said his computer only updates once a month and that he will be updating on Wednesday morning and to call him back, he may be able to give a price if it is in the new parts update.
I'm sure glad I waited for GM at 315 HP - no ther tunes are doing much better and I get to keep my full warranty... |

Anyone seen this info?
The Cobalt kit will be 315 hp @ 4800 rpm [+55] = GM Part number 19212670. The kit for 290 hp @ 5200 rpm [+30] is for the HHR with an automatic transmission. "The Californa Air Resources Board (CARB) published a CARB cert for this tune today. It was executed on Aug 22nd. This means that this tune will be 50 state legal, does in fact exist, and is probably close to release. From the cert: "The LNF Turbocharged Ecotec Upgrade Kit includes a calibration update, two mass air flow/intake air temperature sensors (TMAP sensors) to replace the stock manifold absolute pressure sensor and the TMAP sensor, and installation hardware." The hardware part number is 12626990. The calibration part numbers are: 2007 auto trans : 12625958 2007 manual trans : 12625959 2008 auto trans without electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625952 2008 manual trans without electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625954 2008 auto trans with electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625951 2008 manual trans with electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625953 2008 chevy hhr auto trans : 12625956 2008 chevy hhr manual trans : 12625957 2008 chevy cobalt manual trans : 12625955 |
great update looking forward to it in the spring!

This is great news to hear/see
|
I just want to know if the Turbo could be swapped for something different.. IE 50 trim, 60 trim etc.
|
This seals the deal! I was hesitant about getting out of my SC, but now I really feel it's the right choice. 315hp with warranty, can't beat it.
Thank You GM!!! |
subscribed...would like the recal, those sensors and warranty with 315hp even though I'll have a GT3076R by that time :D
|
Sweet I cant wait!:guns:
|
I saw this on a Solstice forum
Latest issue of GM High-tech Performance magazine has a short interview with Tony Roma, Senior Engineering Group Manager, Integration and Advanced Concepts, in the High Performance Vehicle Operations (HPVO), one arm of the GM Performance Division. Mag: What other performance projects are in the works for you? Tony: Some of the things we've already introduced are the supercharged Cobalt stage kits. We're working on induction and exhaust systems for various vehicles. All the things you need to bolt a crate engine into a car and also a stage kit for the LNF Cobalt and HHR. I know he didn't say Solstice/Sky, but at least they are working with the engine. So for those who are still skeptics... |
Tee hee, can't wait.

This sounds like it will be sweet! I can't wait to hear some more information from it & see what it really gives the car!
|
this is so efn sweet...315hp and warranty is maintained!!!!.........
hopefully sooner than spring!.... |
I'm a little late to the party. Ok so 315hp instead of 290hp vs the auto in the HHR SS is good to know. We get any info on torque #'s? Or any good guesses?

The torque will be pleasant, don't you worry.
|
would this kit fix the turbo lag like the aftermarket tunes have been???
|
+55 with stock exhaust, so 320+ with exhaust...not bad for S1. I would like to know how that is going to affect MPG.

Stay out of boost, and economy is the same. Hmmm. I wonder if this 'Stage one' will be locked. |

What do you mean by "locked"? I hope its not what i think...
The GM Roadster Club ECM Stage 1 says 310hp & 340ft lbs of torque. Also if you list what mods you have they said they will tune accordingly... I'm cool with the guy from one of the other forums... But it's either going to be that or this for me when I get my SS/TC next summer... |
This is the email i got this morning from gmpartsdirect. Anyone know anything other then its not out yet?
Hello Josh, Part number 19212670 has yet to be released by GM. There is not an estimated time when GM will have stock available. We are a GM dealer and a division of Flow Automotive. Thank you, William GmPartsDirect.com When replying to email please include all previous email correspondences so we can better assist you. |
Sounds awesome. I know what I'll be spending my signing bonus on in June!
