warning: Canadian orders surprise
I ordered the stage 1 kit from
CratEngineDepot
and received it today after it was held at the border. To my surprise today i ended up having to pay $83 GST on top of the $630( $550 + exchange ) price. Wish we had more of a heads up when we ordered... i've bought alot of things from the states and never had to pay GST when i picked them up. not complaining because in the end CED stills saved me over $200 but if you can get it for relatively the same price in Canada you may want to consider doing so. Thanks to CED for the bargain.

To my surprise today i ended up having to pay $83 duty on top of the $630( $550 + exchange ) price. Thanks to CED for the bargain and i will definately order from them again in the future with the knowledge that customs doesn't like it when ya buy things in the US.
damn. lol i'll know for next time. ok my bad... it was just the GST but i guess in the end it would have been nice to know that it wasn't included in the exchange and price. obviously the guy at the post office had no idea what he was talking about when he told me it was duty... lol again still never had to pay anything like this for other orders from the states, they must have included GST in the price? .. i'm still stumped ah well.
it depends who they shipped it thru. i paid ups 24 bucks for shipping and 47 dollars for brokerage fees for a product that was worth 88 bucks... it matters who they ship it thru. try to stick with usps!!! they never usually have brokerage fees whereas UPS rapes u...

If you never paid before, it was either a gift and / or you got lucky. If someone sends you something worth 500 bucks and it's marked as a 50 dollar gift, you don't want customs looking at it.

Anyway - enjoy the kit!
