Is this a waste?

So my mods are in my signature. I really dont plan on doing any more except for lowering springs, trifecta tune, and maybe an aftermarket IC. I was going to start putting money into some head work i.e port and polish, rods, pistons, valves, and valve springs. I'm thinking about setting my boost to 25psi and moving my rev up to 7k. Do you guys think the stock rods, piston and so on.. could handle this as a daily driver? Or should I play it safe and do the head work.

Those mods will only make sense if you upgrade the turbo.

Gm build book says the factory internals can handle up to 400 hp. The factory clutch and axles cant handle this much though.
And i've heard of factory IC side tanks blowing of at 25 psi. Stock bypass valves start to tear after high boost tunes too.

The build book is for the LSJ (although the chassis and suspension parts certainly apply). The SS/TC axles are seriously beefy. Have you looked at them? Go compare them to a truck axle.

Most trucks have (at least gm trucks) Have solid rear ends. So its hard to compare. CTS'v Have much bigger axle half shafts and so do the new camaros. And ive seen plenty of both break or shear on a stock cars.
