Weird, car pulled way harder on my way home.

Weird, I just was racing some people today and could have sworn the car pulled harder when I was coming home than when I was racing. It didn't really pin me back in the seat like it normally does during the races. Both were 40 rolls. I had stomped it on the way home at 40. Possible heatsoak? Iats were around 90 during the races. Was 80 when I was on my way home. 10 degrees make that big of a diff?

after running hard its proven cars lose hp and torque bc of how hot the engine compartment gets and heats the intake, best area without altering is at idle warmth. or after just cruising a while at steady speeds and rpms in your case. with temps being that different and i assume a good 20-30 min cruise your intake temps droped dramatically. so yea. lol very true

Could be heat soak, could have also been cooler outside, ambient air temps make a big difference.

actually the cars ecu also learns how u drive, if u drive nice for a few days it will boost slower and the power just doesnt seem as much, when ur a little harder on it, it starts boosting faster and responds alot better, iv tested this over and over, same result every time.

My car was running like a complete beast before it took a dump , I've heard this from others also...

With everything completely cooled down the IC and others will be able to deliver colder IAT's making it run a little better but I've never noticed the computer adapting to my driving style...

Colder temps also deliver great gains

I'm running a low boost trifecta tune. Its actually just slightly more aggressive than GMS1. Spikes 22psi and levels off around 20. Not like the car is running rough. No codes, only thing was it had a previously defective map sensor and the car quit on me one time randomly when the A/C was on max at a stop light but I think the TTR stop
Mounts had a lot to do with that. They dont absorb the shock of the motor with strain on it at idle too well.

Found the culprit I think. The car may even need retuned after this. I was able to get 5-6 turns out of almost every t-bolt clamp. Took it for a spin around the road. Purposely heatsoaked it by repeatedly gunning it behind a dodge truck. Turned around and came back with iats above 90 and I was rolling both front tires and seemed to hold 22psi rather than spike and level off at 20. If I can hook now it seems to be pulling better.

alot of cars do adapt to ur driving style, even ur gas gauge changes, drive it hard for a while and look at ur gauge, then drive nice for a few days and ull notice the gauge shows u have more fuel. i hate it, it shows how much fuel u have dependent on how u drive instead of how much u actually have.

the ecu does adapt. after running hard, its ready to push the motor harder, mixed with it temps dropping and engine back to normal temps. itl make a huge differnce. oh an th gass guage thing pisses me off so bad lol.
