I didnt think to post this in the problem thread cause i dont think it is really a problem yet.

But i have noticed a Knock coming from my car somewhere! i cant figure out if it is in the Back or front.

IT will knock like 3 times or sometimes just 2. Anyone knows whats going on?

 

check your fuses .

 

need more info:
do knocks get closer together or sound faster with rpm increase?
do knocks occur over bumps?
do knocks happen more when cold or when warm?
do knocks occur when turning or going straight? if turning how hard?(count turns in direction from center to give best idea)
do knocks occur when braking?

 

The knocks happen when i am at a stop. And i might hear 1 or 2 when i start moving again.

its been Cold here for the past few weeks. when i drive.

yup yup its the elves i beleave they live inside the tupperware . nah but knocks creeks and alll kinds of dumb noises will happen its a tupperware bowl on wheels with ( gm stated ) 205 hp :P

No clue man. Is it lowered? I just got mine lowered and when I turn hard to the left there a pop noise like there's something moving (harrison if you read this we should talk about it...amybe just needs the alignment).

Sometimes it sounds like someone is knocking somewhere in the back of the car when I'm waiting at a stoplight.

sound to be the something that happens to my car. theres a document for it. its the evap
vent valve making the noise. when i first heard it i thought someone was knocking on my car.but all the document says is to check the routing of the vent valve hose to make sure its not grounded out any where and if it all looks good they say it a normal condition. my car only does it when it cold out i never hear it in the summer. thats what i think especially if u hear it from the rear cuz thats where the evap canister is.

 

OMG!!! This happens to me too. I just realized it. It sounds like a faint knock on the trunck. I figured it was stuff rollin around in there..

 

Yea I had this same noise on my '07 2.4L, the dealer told me it was the evap canister or vent valve making the noise and it was completely normal. Sounded like someone knocking on the back of the car and it usually happened when I was stopped at a light. Have yet to hear the noise in the SS/TC.

 

well if u added some kinda oil pan heater or some kinda block heater, make sure ur cord end isnt knocking against ur bumper in the front, i had that happen on my sunfire and i was wondering what the heck it was. lol

 

in my car its my ice scraper, but check your batterystrap

Yeah that's a normal noise, just like the clicking sounds the engine makes due to direct injection. Your knocking noise has something to do with the fuel pump I believe.
