weird turbo issue

Once in a while, not often when im slowly accelerating and my boost is slowly going up, when im in a higher gear, my turbo will loose boost for a second drop like 5 pounds, bpv will activate 2 or 3 times in a row quickly, then all is normal again. cant reproduce it, just does it by itself. throws no codes, cant figure it out. anyone have any idea? Im starting to think its the forge bpv, cause it is so touchy, and seems to stay open when as long as i take my foot off the pedal. and it goes off with even the littlest backing off the accelerator. i think the stock bpv worked better and wasnt so touchy

I've said many times that I don't understand the appeal of the Forge. It requires maintenance in the form of regular greasing, and the stock unit that works fine, doesn't. Stay with the stock BPV.

Possible clutch slipping? I don't consider 'slowly accelerating' to have enough boost pressure to be able to drop 5lbs and still be in boost. But yeah try putting the stock bpv on first and see what happens.

+1

The Forge can start sticking at any time. It sounds cool but a K&N SRI sounds better and just fine by itself. Stock is the way to go. It won't stick. It may eventually break but replacing it once every 5-8 years is better than maintaining the Forge or having the Forge get stuck every few months or once a year, depending on how well it's maintained.

It's a brand new ky stage 3, it better not be slipping. I don't believe that's it though. I'm gonna put stock bpv back on and see if it happens anymore. That forge just is to touchy for my liking. So annoying , it constantly goes off with even a little feathering in boost or not in boost. The stock one never did it that bad.

Wise words, stock bpv sounds better anyway imo
