What is the cooler below the intercooler

I broke the bracket & the driver side is hanging down. I went to the dealer to get a replacement part & they said this cooler don't show up on their computer.

I started to take it off, because it looked like it was for protecting the intercooler, but had liquid fittings on the passenger side, but no fluid in it.

Anyone know what this is?

for the intercooler? What have other people been doing for this breakage problem?

It's in the right spot to be hit by parking blocks & roadkill. Snow lately.

mine didnt have and fittings on it. Its supposed to be an intercooler guard, a speed bump took care of mine. Its just one bolt on one side and a plastic fitting where it slides in on the other.

Define a "liquid fitting." Possibly a previously installed oil cooler that wasn't being used? Did you buy the car used?

That sounds like the IC water trap. If it it hanging down you need a new IC because the plastic end tank(s) on your IC is now cracked as well.

Same thing that happened to you. It hangs down under the bumper a little so it is the first thing that slams into a curb or incline.

It has happened to a lot of people. All it takes is a parking stop, small curb, decent sized speed bump or a inclined driveway and bam there goes the water catcher and the endtanks of your IC. That is the problem with having a car that is realy low in the front.

That is an understatement ,

If you buy a SS/TC and drive it YOU WILL have to replace rear pads and rotors, charge pipes, and an intercooler. That simple ... Unless you are drving it on the salt flats ..

Coming soon to a sedan near you - Hawk pads R1 Rotors - Nittio INVO tires

BTW OP if it is JUST THE watter trap I still have mine and it can be removed with a screw I will sell it to you for 20 bucks shipped ..
