What tool is required?
So, i would like to remove my valve cover for some paint but im unsure on what tool to use to remove the steel braided line attached to it. seems like the same type as the hose that runs from the intake. If anyone knows that be great thanks
Good news: You can use a fuel line tool to remove the lower braided line
Bad news: I was not able to get anything that was sufficient in removing the upper braided line. I ended up destroying the clamp inside of the upper braided line
Good news: You can buy the clamps for about $3 from you local napa store. Just remove the old inner clamp and pop the new one in and you are golden
Note: Do not get any paint on the line nipples. Just a fraction of thickness and your lines will not go back on again...
