i just think it was easier to do by loosening them, and i could fit them back with ease, i was also lucky the lobes were at the right place on those i needed to change
But i agree its not needed like you stated.

well I took the valve cover off and discovered to rocker arms that had fell out and one exploded lash adjuster.....now im waiting on him to pay up so i can get the parts and from this point im honestly to god going to sale it. I know this was an operator mistake but who knows how much stress it put on everything else..... after all this and i get it running great then low and behold one of my best friends kicks it in the face....

Man, it was a pain for you to get it running right. You got to drive it for what...........2 days?

mine had 3 rockers laying in the head and 1 broken lash, i fixed it and ran all summer, ran a 12.5, still running strong, i wouldnt worry about it lasting ''if'' all happened was a broken lash adjuster.

Sorry to bring up an older thread but do you normaly throw a code when this happens? Just wondering car sounds defferent but I'm not sure if its just cuz of solid engine mounts and tranny mounts it gives off a different sound from the inside I believe :s someone help ahah!

**** well that's not good I just stuck the rear of my car against a wall dosent sound like that all maybe its just the engine vibration that give of a weird sound

Skewed fuel trims can cause that. You could have a small boost/intake leak somewhere.

My intake slid out when I was putting in my engine mount and it was idling horribly but I fixed it and its alllll better now!
