I wanted to start researching exhausts and was looking at the Sticky Section but didnt find anything. I checked the Borla website and theirs is just under $800 but did not specify if it was 3 inch or not. That seems a little pricey to me. On my GTI, my turboback was only $1,000 shipped. And it was an awesome exhaust with borla muffler. It wasnt a chinese made piece of crap.
Borla doesn't make an exhaust for the 08+ model year IIRC (different flanges). But there are a lot of options out there.
Hahn - quietest/most expensive
MPx - designed around a lowered car so it won't bang your axel. Great price, relatively quiet
There's plenty of others as well but those are the 2 I am considering. I don't want loud

Yea I just double checked the exhaust for our car, and it is there. I also dont want a loud exhaust but loved how the borla sounded on my old VW. Any other brands I should check out?
Check it out ----> Stainless Steel Cat-Back

Really not much power out of the cat-back? Thats how the GTI was. All the power came from the reflash and the downpipe. Good to know. The reason I was really asking was just to keep up and research info now for when the catback starts to rust and or the stock cat dies. Thats why I did it last time. The stock cat died and it was cheaper to get a full catback instead of what the dealer wanted for a new OE cat. haha
3 midwest winters on the stock catback, no rust. ZZP catless DP ftw!
If you are going to drive it in the winter, put some anti-seize on the Brembo pad pins. I had to destroy the pins driving them out. Blue road salt corroded the hell out of the pin split retainers & seized them in the calipers.

I think the catback for this car is pretty flowing, the only thing i would chaange is the catted downpipe... thats where you get the most sound and power from. best bang for the buck besides a tune.
