Where is the GM stage kit?
Without taking either side in this pissing match I'll just throw out one fact that if you follow the automotive news you will know is true. The 2009 Camaro SS is selling faster than they can be produced. There is currently a long wait for the car. And even more surprising is the fact that dealers are getting as much as $3500 over sticker for the car. FACT.
You're right! Good night!

Dude you are seeing exactly why GM is in the crapper. Like it or not the fbodies were the **** during their time. I mean come on dude, a stock automatic going 12.95 100% stock that you can buy for $23k reasonably equipped. If GM ever would have put together reasonably priced high quality stage kits for those cars they would have made a fortune. Something like what I did, basic bolt-ons and tuning for $1200 that would net 50 rwhp and get the cars to low 12s with a warranty would have been golden.
Instead they married SLP and stood behind inferior overpriced products.
This is where SVT and SRT do a much better job. The SRT performance packages for the old Neons were real cool, they made power, kept warranty etc. And obviously SVT is always on it.

OK. Back on track here.
I am being told now that they are going to release Stage 1 and Stage 2 at the same time. So let's wait another 3 months for kit. It will only be late fall, just in time for glorious snow and car wrecks.

yeah with no source on your post, we will just act like it didn't happen.
I have no source - check out gmtunersource.com for the speculative information.
The reason why GM is not saying a thing about a release date is because they KNOW that as soon as they say another 3 months for the kits - Superchips, Trifecta and other will have a line of folks wrapped around the building to buy their products.
The only thing keeping this from happening right now is SILENCE and SPECULATION.

Honesty goes a long way. Being up front will only make it easier in the long run.
Canada is full of fakes
This is the first GM product I have owned, and honestly between the bullshit stories I am hearing about this Stage kit and the lack of support that has been shown to the public with this stage kit - I am seeing why Ford is the #1 domestic automaker and in need of the least amount of help. They do things the right way. They make limited production automobiles that sell. They back the aftermarket. They make factory kits for performance (see SVT and Ford Performance parts).
I tried to go with the bang for the buck GM automobile because of all the aftermarket support other vehicles receive. Now GM goes in the crapper, and all we hear are fairy tales about this stage kit.
I'm not selling the Cobalt, but I will buy a different vehicle the next time.
