white smoke??

so yesterday after installing the forge motorsport bpv i took ot for a test drive.... awesome device by the way, but while punching it to see if it holds the boost it actually boosted to 24-25 instead of 22-21, also when i redlined it i noticed quite a bit of white smoking from the tail pipe, so i let the car cool down and cut off. started it later it sounded like something from the engine knocking or grinding. im like wth now. you guys have any clue what it might be???

another note while i installed the bpv i took off the intake coupler right under the bpv and notice there was oil on the coupler is this normal? should i be worried

Oil in the Intake coupler means it's time to put your car back to stock and take it to the dealer.

I've seen it twice. One was a fried 2nd cylinder and one was a blown head gasket. Both times resulted in new motors.

This is why you should spend an extra bit of money and buy the tuning cables and software so you can revert back to stock if needed. A trip to the dealer should be your first step. The worst thing they are going to say is that they won't be covering it.

A new engine is going to cost you a couple grand. Might as well build the dead one with proper parts so this won't happen again.

Both guys I spoke of just flashed back to stock using HP Tuners and the dealers put in a new motor under warranty.

They can't tell you they won't warranty it even if you tell them you're seeing the smoke near redline. The redline's supposed to be there to protect the motor right? Well it's not doing it's job

Don't take it in tuned or they will and they'll have GM cancel the warranty via your VIN.

you probably have a craked piston or burnt piston rings., your going to end up having to get a new motor
apparently where finding out on the kappa forums that the pistons cant handle over 300whp for long, its just starting to show all over my forums now.

Turns out they can't unless they do a LOT of digging, but they won't. Funny because so many people were buying 2nd ECU's when the LNF first came out.

Ya. I've seen several LNF's go in with just a stock reflash and get warranty work after the dealer checked the tune. They pretty much won't dig to find out it was reflashed unless someone tells them you did because it's too much time for them to pay someone to do it and have a chance that they find nothing.

New motor under warranty is better.

If there is just a little bit of oil in your intake that is completely normal it's just blow by. Clean your intake install a catch can and I'm willing to bet you don't see any more oil in your intake. If your blowing smoke and knocking that's a different story.

What would make you say that just because there is a little oil in the intake he has a serious problem Look in the intake of every car (without a catch can) on this site and I bet you they all have a little bit of oil there.

That's exactly what it is.
