This is all I will add GM and the ecotec have a horrible track record of ringlands cracking I have seen it in every engine of the ecotec line except the 1.8 and new 1.4. Supposed engines that can take certain power mean nothing just because one did it does not mean another will. Its like the crankwalk issue with DSMs there are 500hp 7bolt 4G63s roaming Houston yet at this point there crank is supposed to have walked yet no issue . But others have had this issue.

For example ask Cubaniche about his LNF balt it will throw you for a loop compared to other cars with the same mods.
Quite a few here in Houston. Only two that actually have acounts here on SS.net that i know of. Ryan and clint. Red and yallow balts. Yes i am the silver one over here in huffman kingwood area. I go to kingwood college and live out here in huffman. I know what your saying that some cars just have problems, and there is no way to guarantee a car wont blow up due to a tune. It just helps quite a bit when things are closer to spec than stock when your adding power. Whats up with Cubaniche's car? guess i havnt heard the stories with it? fill me in.

well the rings and piston in cylinder 1 were murdered and the wall of cylinder 1 is messed up as well....so the dealer is either going to relpace/fix my motor, which is really expensive since the cylinder wall is messed up or drop in a new motor
all covered under warrenty

Mine had a two cracked cylinders. Had to get a new long block. It was still bone stock also...had it for a year and a half at the most..dealer said it was factory problem. A guy on here told me it was because of a the Aluminum molding in the factory sometimes bubbles get in the cylinders and when the motor is used the bubbles in the aluminum pop and crack. Which lets coolant into the cylynders. and burns it

this is true, with my forge installed my 23psi tune saw 25psi....as well might turn it down to 22 or so to offset the gain or change in psi

I ran a Trifecta tune @ 26 psi for over a year on the K04 before I upgraded turbos.

When I pulled the K04 turbo off to exchange it for the BNR upgrade, it still had minimal side to side shaft play (what is expected without oil in the turbo).

All this talk about blowing motors is making me want to just go back to stock and get rid of the car.
