wind damage will be exterior damage. check for paint scuffs, scratches... marks on windows... things like that.

aaand, if you do decide to get one. "test drive" it to a body shop and have them give you a quote. then go to the dealer and DO NOT SHOW THEM THAT QUOTE but say that this is what you think it will roughly cost you to fix it...even if you don't fix it. and talk them down in price.

Is there any way to no by the vin or any other way. Just in case then fine cut the paint, and hand glazed back to a shiny coat.

I dont think they can sell the wind damaged ones as new... Since they were sold at auctions they were already titled... A dealership tried selling me one that was wind damaged and didnt even tell me. The only way I found out was when it came time to get the loan it came up as used and I couldnt qualify for that ammount on a used car.

Right, wind damaged cars will be sold as used even if they have no miles.

Why is this in the performance section?

i did end up getting a "wind damaged" one... it had 143 miles on it when i got it... i looked into these before i bought one and what had happened... they were at the lordstown plant in ohio where they are assembled and e had a big storm up here... alot were damaged in the storm but there were alot that werent... basickly gm claimed all of the cars they didnt inspect every car... there were like i think like over a thousand... so ya the ones that werent damaged were sent to auction... i went over mine with a fine tooth comb before i bought it... the only catch to buying it was i wouldnt have a paint and trim warrentie bc not all of the ones that were there were checked the whole fleet was claimed... so basickly i got the car for $19750 brand new and saved an ass load of money the other warrenties are still in place like powertrain and all the others... MAKE SURE TO ASK ABOUT WARRENTIE AND HAVE A PAPER SIGNED AND DATED SAYING EXACTLY WHAT WARRENTIES YOU DO GET!!!

Ya drove one today wanted 16479, but only give me 5000 for my car. So ill sell, it open market. The tc was amazing hands down as far as handeling. But as far as power was not impressed, but sure with a tune it screams.

Its a 06 42000 miles 60 tune 2.8 rims projectors g85 fully loaded hids, full exhaust and intake. Flawless paint, and interior. Runs, perfect. Just wanted to screw me selling tc for 16000, and wanted 499 for 5 years. Before they even ran my perfect credit lol. So I left, didn't wanna waste my time. Like I said car is far supior in handeling. But stock lacks in power, by butt dyno big time. I do wanna get one so I can transform into a monster though. But, luv beeting evos in my sc lol. Sorry for grammer, use crackberry.
