Winter Floor Mats
Winter Floor Mats
Looking for nice winter floor mats, can't seem to find a thread with them anywhere so I posted up. Anybody know where you can get some nice rubber SS floormats or something like that?
Was thinking maybe even those diamond cut mats but are they any good for the winter or does the water/snow just go to the edges and soak into your carpet?

be carful not to get ones that are to thick, it interfears with ur clutch being able to push all the way to the floor and u can screw up ur tranny after awhile. i did that on my other car i had.
Look into Weather Tech; I have them in my fronts only and while they're somewhat costly for the fitted ones they're well worth the investment. Since mine are a little dirty from attending a wedding last weekend in the middle of buttfuck nowhere, check out these ones from another user on here (Nakaiya21). One note, the passenger side pic the matt fits better than that, this one's not quite in the right spot to cover where it's intended to but you get the idea

:I think shipped my fronts were $140 through Weathertech.ca; worth every penny imo.
Ahh, the weather tech debate.... will I guess it is that time of year so I will chime in...
Weathertechs are far and wide the best value you can get for your car. Their fitted floor liners literally cover the entire floorboard and protect the carpet for years to come. They are not your average floor mats and their price denotes that....
To clean, simply take a vacuum and vacuum the debris, remove the floor liner, and scrub with a light scrub brush and some simple green or fantastick oxy cleaner. Rinse with water and dry.... It is a good idea to use a plastic protector on them to prevent any cracking 5yrs down the road or so, but try to let the protectant sit for awhile before use so that you don't slip.
I went the extra mile on mine and created some floor mats to go inside of my weather techs. You can create these yourself provided you get the materials. Keep in mind that they will take up that much room in the floor liner, but you can just as easily take them out and use them for show only. Since the mats are rubber also the same cleaning steps apply...
In my case the side of the floor liner on the passenger side is slightly gapping. Weathertechs are prone to this over time. It really isn't bad though and can easily be overlooked... I still do not get debris between the liner and the floorboard.
Here are some pics of the passenger side. The one the is upside down (thanks photobucket) shows the gap you may experience over time. The second one is the same side with the floor mat inside of the floor liner....

Weathertech was going to make some liners for the rear, but I have yet to see anything...
This testimonial was not endorsed by weathertech...
