Anyone running the Z54 with the Forge BPV? The turkey gobble flutter has finally sent me past a tipping point lol.. It's so annoying, the spring is clearly too heavy. I'm curious if the lighter spring in the Forge will remedy this.

 

Probably wont help if anything the forge will change the way it sounds but will still sound like a turkey

 

Thanks for the reply.. Some people I've talked to think it sounds cool, I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum. I want one, smooth pshhhhhhhh. I guess it's Thanksgiving year round for me haha..

 

Lol I mean I don't have a z54 but that's my experience with it with the k04r and the forge, now with the zfr and the stock bpv I have Thanksgiving every day as well lol I don't mind but I agree it would sound better with just a pshhhhhh sound

 

The most annoying part is like part throttle and 0-10psi. Trying to pass someone on the highway and gobblegobblegobble as I let off the throttle just erks me lol..

 

I have a Forge on my Z54, and it almost never gets the gobble sound. I did drill the hole in the nipple and cap of the valve larger and direct line it to the manifold, so that could be part of it.


Edit: That's not saying it's completely eliminated, but on the first Z54 with the stock bpv and my stocker with the Forge it was a helluva lot worse.


Edit#2: How old is your Z54? I know the new ones(and my warranty) come with a softer spring in the bpv than the original unit did. I'm not using mine, so if you're interested I may be able to send it your way to try.

 

My Z54 is almost a year old. Hell, if you aren't using your bpv, I'd be happy to give it a try. How much do you want for it?
