ZZP Catless DP

I've searched and failed! but anyways onto my question... if i put a ZZP Catless on(as we all know they come with the angled bung) will my car run like complete ****, or will it be alright?

pretty much i am asking if a tune is needed or not.. yes i know a tune is needed to get the full gain from it, but for right now would it work without issue

What's the point of putting it on and not getting a tune?

It will run fine, spool up a little faster (no back pressure), but the computer will most likely learn down. Are you waiting for some other mods before you tune?

well i found out that one of the guys(well two) my dad works with uses HPT and he hooked it up to my car today, got the base tune or whatever and said he could tune me for cost of the credits, and he could get a basic intake/dp tune off the HPT site...

my thing is, outside of the downpipe i'll be completely stock everywhere else on the performance side and i dont want to be blowing charge pipes and such...

So does anyone have a tune file they can share for just a ZZP Catless DP and nothing else?

Also GM part # for the gaskets would be nice hah

I have one on now without a tune. Fully bolting the car, then getting it tuned.

Dont be surprised if you still throw a rear O2 code even with the angled bung...I even tried a new ac delco sensor and still had issues...finally just had it disabled w hp tuners

What code did you throw? I threw P0140 and P0130 after 4 months and I have the angled bung. Said **** it, not even worrying about changing the sensor.

I usually threw P0036...my last torque scan showed P0036, P0137, and P0138...I know theres been a cpl other ones iv thrown as well...but yeah its annoying as fk clearing the codes just to have the CEL pop an hour later...finally said screw it and just had em shut off

How many miles are on your car? I put my downpipe on at around 25k and my gaskets were fine and didn't replace them. If your ordering your downpipe knew from ZZP they give you the option to order new gaskets for extra.

I had them disabled, the CEL was bugging the hell outta me always being on...bank 1 sensor 1 is all that's really needed since sensor 2 (the dp sensor) is just monitoring the cat, which obviously isn't used w the catless...

In my opinion, I would be careful with who you have tune your car. LNF's are much different than most engines. Direct injection is a whole 'nother ball game when it comes to tuning, you can't tune it like you would a port injected motor. But if he gets help from HPT boards and is cautious you should be alright.
