ZZP Downpipe Review

Alright, so we all know that the stock downpipe is restrictive and all that fun stuff. Well I've been looking at downpipes for the last 2 weeks or so and I decided on the ZZP catless downpipe because you just can't beat their price and their work on the 2.4L's is amazing.

As far as sound goes you can tell the difference the instant you turn on your car, and as soon as boost kicks in when accelerating the exhaust begins getting louder and louder and louder. The best part is that if you're just driving casually you can barely tell the difference over stock.

I have to say that any person that does not buy the ZZP downpipe is completely out of their mind, the price is great, the quality is great, and this car is an absolute rocket in 3rd gear now.

ZZP FTW

Ya, you can't see them from the road lol... I think ZZP's next purchase should be a nice BIG sign for out by the road.

Back when I owned a SS/SC the ZZP downpipe was one of my first mods to match my cat back exhaust, and intake. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm almost certain my 3" stainless downpipe with a high flow cat was the first downpipe from ZZP that was available. It was constructed from great materials and everything held together as long as I owned the cobalt. I sold the cobalt, and keep in touch with the person I sold it to. I never hid anything about my car and kept good care to keep it as new as possible. I'm happy to say over 3 years old the downpipe is still in great shape and shows limited signs of wear. I also ran .17 tenths of a second faster in the 1.4th mile and trapped slightly over 1mph higher. Once I went stage II the results were increased of course and I could no longer assume what my gains were. Final best pass ended up to be a 13.58 @ 108mph on stage II tune, stage II pulley, ZZP downpipe, Injen CAI, and GMPP touring exhaust.
