ZZP LNF IC With Increased Clearance Option
We can't complain about the success of our LNF intercoolers. They perform very well, they install easily and fit great, and they look very good by filling the entire bumper skin opening with core. However, based on the feedback we have noticed on the forums, it appears that many people would prefer our IC if it had more ground clearance. Due to popular demand, we decided to look into the possibility of offering an intercooler with less core height. We are hoping this will attract buyers who might otherwise choose a different brand IC simply based on ground clearance differences. Here is what we came up with:
Here is a comparison between the standard LNF IC and the extra clearance model:
Here is another comparison showing the difference of nearly 1.5" in the core height. Both ICs install with the same top height, so the 1.5" difference is all increased ground clearance.
We only received 2 of each end tank castings for test purposes, so we have 2 completed intercoolers. I have checked the dimensions and bolt hole spacing and these are good to go. Unfortunately, we will not have more for at least a couple months. They will be going on the site pretty soon. The price will be a little higher than the standard IC because the tooling cost is higher with dual end tank castings. We will also order these in lower quantity.
Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions.

****!!!!
I wish I would have known this was coming out! We'll maybe I can sell my current IC because the size and the fact ZZPs intercooler hung down so low was an impractical choice and my careless driving habits made it even more of a no no for me.
Now that this one has increased ground clearance, I want one!
And yes I'll buy one! Maybe not right now, but for sure in a couple months!

How's the cooling Matt? Is it same as your original intercooler?
Right now with my Treadstone I am about 5 degrees higher than ambient (Aeroforce Gauge readings compared to DIC of ambient)

Ah, a very nice option. Good stuff guys. I personally like my one with LESS ground clearance, but I'm also a tad crazy. Its a good core guys, from personal experience.

awww! additional cost for a smaller one? well new castings what can you expect.
you think you could offer a trade in program? if the used IC is in good enough condition you could take the old for a discount of the increased clearance model and sell it as a "ZZP certified used" part
