I'd share, but I'm not 1000% positive yet, until I get a new trans in the car though, I can't post up results.
I'll see what I can post up later from the logs I already have.
(and ZZP I'd be more than willing to share this info with ya, maybe in exchange for some fuel pressure info lol.) As I said, just want to run one more test on the sucker, probably be another 3 weeks until I can get the car driving again as it won't be running the f35 anymore.
F40 tranny? some how ?

Paul- not sure if you read my post because you were posting at the same time-

It doesn't give us any issues on the street. I beat the crap out of this car on Saturday without any problems. Racing at the track is a different story. However, I think I know why it was going into such a conservative mode. The last couple times we raced this car, we started doing 2nd gear burnouts. Around that time, it started bogging bad on the launch as it would not allow any boost. We worked around this temporarily by restarting the car after the burnout. Since the computer does not have any boost control on this car right now, I thought it would be fine. Now I'm thinking that it is still going into a more conservative mode after doing an 8k rpm 2nd gear burnout. I wish I had tried restarting the car after the burnout at least once yesterday. Anyway, here's a couple vids-

11.76- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cltHSoTS_Xg

12.0 on low boost- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faFp4wLWC_k

Any chance for a one off then at a slightly higher price? If so, pm me some details, i'd love to get this hammered away before getting it all back together.

oh missed that.
I know we've conquered it on everything (dyno street, wet weather etc) but unfortunately have not had a chance to run it at the track due to an exploding 3rd gear (best way I can put it lol). hopefully I can get it up and running shortly though.

gm doesn't have a fwd manual trans that will take the power we are planning for unfortunately.

[QUOTE=Matt M;4423117]We headed out to Milan Dragway yesterday to see what we could get out of this setup. While the car launches great and shifts great, we are still battling a lot of torque management issues. I have a low and high boost switch in this car, with low boost set at 16psi.

For the first pass, I ran 16psi in 1st and hit the high boost as soon as I shifted to 2nd. Unfoprtunately, with the high boost set at 24psi, it blew the tires off and pretty much ruined the pass. I think it was a 12.00 at 122.

For the 2nd pass, I set the high boost to 20psi and hit the switch in 3rd. This resulted in a 11.76 at 123 and change. With a 1.72 sixty foot and a 123 trap speed, I would expect an ET closer to 11.50, however the ECM felt the need to keep the throttle at 50% for about 2 seconds after each shift.

For the 3rd pass, I decided to no-lift-shift to keep the throttle open. Unfortunately, the ECM was still angry at me and decided to spoil the fun again. With serious bogging due to low throttle percantages after each shift, I ran another 11.76 at 123. With a 1.70 sixty foot and clean, quick no-lift-shifts, we should be looking at an 11.3, which would great at only 20psi. Maybe next time...

Those look like 26 inch tires? or is the front end dropped.

So unless you are swapping a non-GM manual in, you must be going auto! PLEASE PM me some details! I have been wanting to swap to an auto for months now but didn't want to be the first one to try it.

Maybe, but I'm running 3053C MTs, which have been known to work very well for FWD cars. We ran them to 9.90s with no wheelie bar on Zoom's GTP.

Right, I am not saying they dont work, cause they do. I would think the motor would feel free'r and rev out better and pick up time. I maybe wrong tho.

he's got tall slicks which result in better traction but lower trap speeds
