the canned tune doesn't require GMS1 tune as a base.
my GMS1 will break the tires loose from a roll if the pavement is slippery or smooth. usually it hooks up fine though.
ZZP LNF Turbo PCM:
•Raised rev limiter to 7000
•WOT fueling is revamped to provide a safe, flat air/fuel ratio at all RPMs
•Works with high flow cats, 420 code removed
•Torque abuse modes are modified to eliminate bog during WOT
•boost set to 22 PSI
•Cam phasing adjustments for wider powerband
•Proven HP gains shown in dyno chart
•Clutch relearn complete (so you do not need to)
"The ZZP PCM is backed by a company you can trust. Here at ZZP, we own our own chassis dyno ensuring the maximum performance on our products.
With just a tune, we can add about 40whp and 80 ft lbs. Typical dyno numbers are 280whp and 320-340 ft lbs depending on what clutch the car has. If the car has a stock clutch we reduce the torque a little to keep it from slipping."
my GMS1 made almost 270whp and on one pull almost 300wtq. so the ZZP tune will make about 10whp and 20wtq more if dyno's are comparable.

You and I live fairly close to each other. I think we met a few years ago when I first bought my TC. Sense then I installed the gms1. And like you mentioned every once in a while my car will break loose in second gear from a roll. On a cold rain day like today it will ever time I floor it. But if its nice and hot out. And i go wot i would say it will only spin a tiny bit MAYBE 2 or 3 times out of ten. The other 8 or 7 times it will hook up totally. Is that consistent with your car ? My car has very low kilometers. I would hate to think that there is anything wrong with it. And ive tested for boost leaks about a million times and i cant find any leaks. Unless they are well hidden.

Bear in mind that there are many factors affecting traction. Humidity and outside temperature, obviously, but also what tires you are running, and what suspension setup. At ~450hp my car doesn't break loose in a straight line as long as I run my properly heat cycled and warmed up NT01's and the outside temp is at least 85 degrees... Just saying.
Do it. Money well spent. And if you don't buy the k&n intake with it they can update the tune later for you if you do. I think it's $75 for a tune update.
