zzp rotated trans mounts vs ottp

so which is better and why? I have ottp right now, dash vibrates when I start driving. I heard zzp doesn't do that. but other than that is there any difference? would it be a good idea to switch over to zzp or just stay with ottp

ZZP mounts definitely make your car vibrate too! I had ZZP mounts but never OTTP.

They all vibrate more than stock, price you pay for stiffer mounts

I have zzp and vibrations during idle, but no vibes while in gear driving. Had polyurethane mounts before and they were bad on vibration, thought the car was going to shake apart

I have a Powell front mount with an LNF rear mount and I don't think it's that bad. Definately noticable when idling and whenever you rev it out of gear (think downshifts you can feel it rev). I wouldn't go from OTTP to ZZP though because the OTTP mounts are rotated and the ZZP mounts aren't. Really the best mounts are the Powell ones though.

What about torque solutions from modern performance? They any good? pros? Cons? Is zzp best bang for buck?

Why is this in the performance section?
It should be in the suspension or general tc section.
Btw, any rotated mount is good, ZZP HAS LESS VIBRATION THAN OTHERS.

ZZP's mounts aren't rotated they are just stiffer bushings so if they're the softest they sell the softest aftermarket bushings that go in the factory location. Don't get me wrong I love ZZP's products but their mounts aren't worth a damn.

i have zzp mounts and there definitely worth a damn, stock mounts feel like the engine is spinning underneath the hood. zzp mounts stop the engine from moving around as much, makes shifting so much nicer.

But their so called rotated mounts aren't which is why they are the lesser of the mounts out there. Yes they still help but ones that cost just as much from Powell are going to be better since they are rotated and stiffer.

i doubt that considering the guy above you said powells are stiffer than zzp... and zzps are pretty damn stiff. assuming you came from stock mounts.

and ya i dont know why zzp calls theirs rotated =\

I think he's installed lots of them, he did mine as well as control arms at the same time.

I meant that they are stiffer than stock didn't mean vs ZZP, I'll edit it (too late for thinking). They are probably about the same for stiffness.

big deal is if you have them installed correctly, i over torqued the 3 bolts in the subframe way too much and it vibrates when on the throttle, supposed to be 37lbs

Mine are over torqued for sure, and don't have this issue.

I have Powell rotated solid race mounts and balance shaft delete. I've given up hope of ever being anything close to rattle free. It's almost like getting a massage at idle

How old are the mounts? How did you torque them down?

2 years. Did then in proper sequence with motor mount loose. But I had a new engine put in since so Gm installed them second time. They just shake the dash when starting to move in first gear for a second. It not a big deal. They always did it.

Ok well you will want to loosen all the engine and trans mounts and torque them in sequence. Also check your rubber bushings in the mounts, the style bushing you have will fail if not installed correctly. We have changed to a different bushing since you purchased and it is an upgrade from what you currently have.
