With the small ar ratio this turbo spools 100 to 200 rpms later than the 252 and has about 50 more whp capability.

I just went from the s252et to the s256et. It takes a bit longer to reach full spool then the s252et but it still reaches it quick. On the top end it pulls pretty beast but I am also at 25psi and 27 degrees timing on the s256et

Do you have any whp or 1/4 mile numbers for us for between the 2?

Update: We did a second tuning session. Car is running like a champ now. Any low throttle knock i was getting before is gone. Trims are bang on. No fuel pressure issues. We are heading to the dyno thursday where we will lock in the boost and timing we want to run. Stay tuned.

Did you advance the injection timing and raise the fuel pressure like I suggested?

Injection timing was already advanced and fuel pressure was already raised. With the new plugs there are no misfires right through the power band. rail pressure holds steady and injector duty cycle is low.

Oh ok. What plugs and what gap? OEM at 0.032-0.035" works best in most cases.

I'm shocked at all the 'Balts lately that have turbo upgrades. We used to be able to count them on two hands.

Reverting to fresh stock plugs at 0.25 did the trick.

This car is an absolute blast to drive.

I have ZZP's 3 inch, its pretty quiet around town and a joy to drive without pissing people off, especially your neighbours.

Car accelerates well, even to pass in 4th, 2 - 3 psi and she accelerates very quickly.

When you open her up full tilt and that wastegate opens, the beast is released. It sounds amazing.

Had a guy in a turbo diesel truck catch up to me and give me the thumbs up, must have heard me a mile away.

We made 443whp and 355wtq 7400 rpm limit. Have graphs. We are still on the dyno, having problems bringing in the boost and having a proper torque curve. HP up top is insane, torque is kinda low and a flat graph. I guess I should have bought a manual boost controller.

Makes it sound like a Honda with HP and TQ numbers that far apart.

Looking good. Myself, I don't care with a low torque as long as I don't have that craazy spike like a stocker and or tip-in knock because of it. You are on pump gas?

This may actually be good bc you won't stress the Trans so much.

This. 443 whp with only 350 wtrq is really good. If he could just get another 10 ft/lbs throughout the curve you would see close to 460 whp up top.

You can email me a copy of your file if you wish and I will see what the issue is with the boost coming in.
