ZZP shortened intercooler on track
ehhhh I don't know about that one man. Maybe cruising, but not after a long 3rd-4th gear pull. I'm specifically talking about the stock turbo tuned over 22psi btw.
I'd love to see a log to prove me wrong though, because I know none that I have seen support it..

I've posted the same basic thing in the past but no one seemed to believe me. Granted I'm not pushing the turbo nearly as hard as wang is around a track, but even in a "long" 3rd to 4th gear pull (starting at 3k in 3rd) the iat2's really aren't much better in the zzp ic vs the stock ic. I've seen some crazy claims by others on here a while back that claimed to have seen iat2's BELOW ambien at wot WITHOUT a sprayer bar or meth, which is quite franky just flat out rediculous no matter how big the ic. Like others have said, it's well worth the upgrade just to simply get rid of the plastic end tanks though.
Side note. I have seen below ambients on a vehicle, but that was a friend's truck. When I was into my 6.5 diesel in my suburban he and I did meth/h2o and and intercooler sprayer (by the way a 6.5 didnt come with an IC) on his 2500 pickup. but that temp reading was taken without a load (no railer, nothing in the bed) on flatground. As soon as you breath on the loud pedal the temps go up. Granted that is on a diesel, but the intercooler on that thing was MASSIVE. IATs were measured in the beginning of the intake manifold, right behind the charge pipe coupler.
I had to look at mine, I have one with 41lbs at the MAF (relocated to coldside pipe) but its not VE readings. Thought it was for a minute but before I posted it I wanted to check. Seeing as how my car flows really well and I am almost at sea level, and at the time of the log it was at night in the winter, I don't think the VE could get much higher than 30lbs +/- a few.
