I have the $25 air box mod already done...is there a diff in that and a intake...in hp numbers and sound??? cause if there is not...then why spend that much money?

we need baseline, then CAI compared to another's baseline vs. airbox mod

 

There is deff. a differance in sound, i could be positve on hp, need a dyno, I'm guessing the cai would have maybe a 1-3hp gain over the airbox, but i have no backup for this, some one should dyno this.

 

well, i did teh airbox mod and got a CEL so...if your not getting a CEL with the airbox mod id do the airbox mod obviously

 

how did u get a cell and i didnt??? thats weird. but i think iam going to stay with the Airbox mod for now

I got a CEL with the air box mod to. Took it back to stock and it went away. You could just barly hear the SC with it done on my car to. Only drove with it on for 15 miles though.

ya ive had the airbox mod with CEL...Just got my PCM reflashed for a cold idle issue and its out so we will see what happens....

 

air box mod and no CEL I did mine a little differently than most but I think I didn't get a CEL because I used a cylindrical filter and not a conical and I let the oil dry a little before I did the mod. It has been on there for about a month. Good to go :
