100 octain in stock ss/sc
100 octain in stock ss/sc
i guess this is kind of a noob question but a couple of my friends are telling me i should put some 100oct gas in my ss/sc balt. i always thought that this was bad for the car and would burn up the cat (vibrant performance high flow) is what i have now. anyway i have some extra money this week and i was thinking about doing it. but am i gonna hurt anything by doing so

do your friends drive hondas??
, j/k. but seriously, if you have a stock ss/sc or even lightly modded you will not gain anything from a higher octane. that's a huge, huge myth. if you're going to run a higher octane, you need the mods to support it and a tune. octane in and of itself does not give you power. using a higher octane that what the car is tuned for will probably even create a loss in power, because your car can't take advantage of the explosion the way it can like the gas your'e tuned for.
well thats why i asked on here 1st befor i spent my money actually my friends drive a 300c Hemi, a 5.7 GTO and a 92 tsi awd talon. none are modded beond and intake exhaust and the dsm isnt even running but we coulda guessed that lol
