100 octain in stock ss/sc

i guess this is kind of a noob question but a couple of my friends are telling me i should put some 100oct gas in my ss/sc balt. i always thought that this was bad for the car and would burn up the cat (vibrant performance high flow) is what i have now. anyway i have some extra money this week and i was thinking about doing it. but am i gonna hurt anything by doing so

If you can get 100 octane unleaded go for it but LEADED gas will kill your 02 sensor's

it won't hurt but it will not do anything at all for you unless your engine is tuned for 100 octane gas... its a waste of money, stick with 93

do your friends drive hondas?? , j/k. but seriously, if you have a stock ss/sc or even lightly modded you will not gain anything from a higher octane. that's a huge, huge myth. if you're going to run a higher octane, you need the mods to support it and a tune. octane in and of itself does not give you power. using a higher octane that what the car is tuned for will probably even create a loss in power, because your car can't take advantage of the explosion the way it can like the gas your'e tuned for.

you won't gain any performance with the 100 octane unbless you can tune for it. 93 or 94 it as high as you can go to actually gain anything from the stock tune.
