would you recommend this header over the ZZP shorty?

because if i am going to get more out of the zzp shorty i would rather go that route and sell my vortex

The sound is good under 4k from what the OP says.. then he said it sounds like any other exhaust.

Just by looking at it, the power this thing would make seems like a joke.

but then again, i havent seen any dynos. but thats just my opinion.

I'm gonna try to dyno on May 9th. Probably wont have time before then to get the tune tweaked, but oh well. The only thing is, the last time I dyno'd was over a year ago in January...so, I'm not sure how well we can relate the before/after numbers

Two full weeks with the JBP Vortex Manifold,...here's my summary...of what I feel...

NO dyno until the 9th, sorry...

Sweet burbling at start up, almost like a cammed sound, I usually roll my windows down to hear the sound of her...GM Touring Exhaust is holding its own, stock down pipe....no raspy-ness at all. When I start her up in the morn, it puts a smile on my face. And Probably makes the the neighbors jealous...

Performance: Low and mid range torque... Very nice, very f-ing nice. Getting on the highway...I like the grunt/growl.

Fit and finish is great. Welds were very nice, collector was a lil rough, but not bad at all.

Overall I am a very satisfied customer

id like to differ on this being a crappy piece. i was the first one to recieve this header though the Group buy and mine is a great piece of work. the welds are very nice and my collector isnt as rough looking as some of the other ones i have seen. as for being equil length, im not so sure but JBP claims it to be. jbp has been so helpful every time i deal with them, i dont kno why they get bashed so much around here. this thing sounds sick and with my cams it gives an even deeper exhaust note. i dont have any numbers to back up my statement but i was able to tell a differance in performance. and i know that just because its louder its not faster, unlike some ppl. all in all its worth the money to me. all the ricer kids and other ppl that dont know any better ask me if its an impala SS or if i swapped a v8 into my car. ha! Im just like nah its a 4popper cobalt...
