Cold air intake?

Ok so im past my warranty now so I was thinking of getting one. Anyone have any suggestions and will it do any harm to my engine like make it break more often or something? I dunno I have literally no experience in this stuff haha, thanks!

Nope, its completely safe and reliable. Just stay away from deep puddles. All the brands are pretty much the same, the popular choices seem to be injen and k&n.

Injens are great. No it wont do any harm just so long as you clean the filter at least every 5-10000 miles. And don't drive through any really deep water too. I cant believe you actually waited this long to put an intake on your car!

Sweetm, so no one makes a difference really? I mean I know when I buy it I wont feel any difference in power haha, just checking. Will it give me a CEL? Im sure its pretty easy to install to right? No modifications needed?

I have gone threw an ebay intake already. Thats 65.00$ and It ended up getting a hole in it. Now it has JB weld on it. Im in on this GB because its 3inch and its cheeper then the K&N.

i've had a k&n on for over a year and a half now. day i put it on, it poured like CRAZY. no problems. DEFINATLY worth the money. only problem with the k&n is that it rubs against the car's computer heatsink, but i don't have a hole, just deep cuts so far. thinking about using jb weld on it.

Injen has always been a popular choice... We have a great price on them also.

i got an injen couple weeks ago. had a cel the 2nd day i drove it. but have not had one since then. install was pretty simple. dont follow the instructions that come with it. use the how to guide on this site it was an awesome write up. the only thing different i did than what was in the write up was I didnt completely remove the inner fender liner I took all the screws out and only 2 clips and just bent the liner back over the tire. much easier when you go to reinstall liner than if you remove it totally.BTW love the sound of the whine threw the injen.

You will not get a cel with the injen cai people sometimes touch the mas with dirty fingers and that causes it to throw the cel,not the intake.I had one and did not get a cel i had it for 6 months.

The Injen fit perfect for me, no issues. I did the same thing removing the front half of the fender liner and bending it back. Just be sure to cover the ground screw (I used an old rag) so it doesn't scratch the pipe. One thing I had to do was drill out the little rubber mounting screw that came with the kit. Other wise it wouldn't screw all the way down and bottom out.

Injen fits awesome! And as stated will not throw a CEL, from the intake. It will only throw a CEL, if the installer damages the MAF sensor..
