2.0 Ss Supercharged Crate Engine From Gm!!!
Why would you buy the entire crate engine and put it in the Cavy and void your warranty when you can just buy the supercharger kit and have it COVERED by your warranty....???
the GTO and Corvette LS1 and LS6 5.7L V8s arent 350's.....they are 346cu in. and they arent related(other than the most minute similarities) to the old small block 350 family(262,265,283,302,305,307,327,350,400) the new Gen3/4 family consists of the 4.8L,5.3L,5.7, 6.0,7.0 the 5.7L and all aluminum 6.0's, and 7.0 are only available in cars(F,V,and Y bodies) and the 4.8,5.3, iron block 6.0's are only avail in trucks/suv's

Then you're left with an SS powered car, with no GFX, and rear drums, and a crappy suspension, and no warranty for more than what an SS would have cost you in the 1st place.
Sounds good to me.

As for engine swaps, don't bother, but if you do consider this engine:

A custom built 350 is great for cars like this cause usually they are smaller, lighter and less powerful than big blocks. A 350 might be perfect for a Drag Cobalt. But engine swaps should be avoided, unless you are building a hotrod. Don't do it because you want more horses, there are a million cheaper and easier ways to do that.
Like a TURBOCHARGED 2.0L ECOtec, instead of an S/C system.
Just my two cents...

Twin Charged is the way to go best of both worlds!

For what it's worth tho, about 10yrs ago I did see a small car w/ v8. It was a '72 Opel GT with a blown 454, it looked like a cartoon car that engine was so disproportionate to the body. It was street legal, technically; had largest DOT approved MT's you could get, mod chassis, shortened axels, TH400, etc. and did the 1/4 in 8.5sec. I had never seen anything so wacky.
