Im not knocking your results by no means but this is why im contemplating getting rid of the balt. Sure its a fun car to drive but in the end its a 4 banger with stock 205 hp. 50 hp for 2k, meh. I've not started to mod my balt yet and I really dont know if I want to if I get results like these.
I've really been thinking hard about a v8 rwd car. Sure there heavier, but have more power. Eh, im really torn because I really like driving the car but if all I can get is 50 hp for 2k i'll be selling her this spring.
Def subbing for your longer term results. GL man!

no offense to everyone who seems to be adamant about their s/c's but a s/c 4cyl is fail. you say you think you're gonna be unhappy yet you seem to scoff at the thing that's going to do way more.
Im full aware that a turbo will smoke a supercharger on these cars. If I wanted a turbo i'd have bought a 08 -10.
That's just you're opinion, It all depends on what each person wants out of there car, not everyone wants 400+ hp on a fwd car, with a tvs and a good tune you can make great power and still enjoy the supercharger whine if that is what they want, the case with this guy car is the fact he is shifting at 6.5k rpms and maybe something else is wrong with it aswell.
Not scoffing at anything, just saying im partial to the supercharger is all. Im not looking for 600+ hp. Like I said, i'd be happy with anywhere from 300 to 350. If I cant get within that range with a TVS i'll sell it this winter.

At least you edited to fix it. Ure the man!
Oh and also the sentence "Your a tuner but can't spell?" 'Your' should also be 'you're.'

Hey man, don't be so quick to doubt the m62. Check out the dyno thread: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/dyno...thread-194257/
and look at the mods on the cars with the m62, not close to 2k and gains of more than 50hp. I just installed my stage kit and that thing kills it, and I only have about 600 invested in performance pats...

and boom goes the dynamite. the money you'll spend on the tvs itself, plus supporting mods to make that 350whp "easy" is roughly the same cost +-$100 or so to turbo a car and make over 400whp easily.
It all depends what you're after. Look at zrated89. He's shy of 11s with his TVS. There's lots of turbos running more power with slower times. But at the end of the day you can make more power much easier going turbo no question.
that is just not true, that is alot more things to need to change over to a turbo then just slapping on a TVS. Also before you reply with blah blah blah slap tvs on stock car, that is not what I mean, Im talking about someone that has done the basic bolt ons, and is looking to go to the next level either turbo swap or tvs, both are effective and both cost money it just comes down to what people enjoy more.
