2.0L 3" Stainless CAI

Just wanted too see if you 2.0L guys would want something made similar to this:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-4l-le5-performance-tech-46/rebel-auto-worxs-2-4-cai-group-buy-69022/

The price should be around the same and we will have data logs and dyno results.

But I need some firm interest if we are going to spend some funds and time on this.

An estimated price would be good. Also a lot of us guys are running the airbox mod so we already have a good 3.25" filter (aem dryflow) because we don't like oiled ones. Get us a price with a full intake (including filter or some sort, non-oiled would be best) and with just the piping. I am sure if you get a good price on just the piping as long as we can use a 3.25" filter people would jump on it. I would consider it.

I think this market is pretty well covered by various other intake kits.

The only added value I can see is developing a kit that requires enlarging the fender well opening and running bigger pipe.

We can Indeed do something out of 3.5-4" Inch tubing for more Flow.
All depends if people want to "massage the fender well"

Yeah but that market is full of intakes that don't fit right. Make a 3" intake that truly fits and I'd buy it.

Having people cut in their car isn't something most people are willing to do for an intake. I would be willing to do it.

My K&N intake fit perfectly. I only sold it because I was doing nitrous and I didn't want to punch a hole in a perfectly good intake. The K&N did through off the MAF, but that wasn't anything HPtuners didn't fix after 3 or 4 tuning sesssions.

K&N isn't 3" from what I remember. Either way its one of few, if not the only one that actually fit correctly.

So imo the market could definetly use a 3"intake that fits.

Turboeco:

I said in my first post the only real value add would be a system that utilitzed an enlarged the fender hole so you could run a larger intake tube. The K&N was 2.75 ", that fender hole is the limiting factors on size/fit.

You guys must understand that anything over 250 WHP will require more than a 2.5" intake (and exhaust also).

There is definitly a LOT of intakes for the SS, BUT for what I remember only the Fujita and the J-Body Performance intakes are FULL 3" intakes.

Both are 300+ bucks. I know the Fujita is a pain in the ass to install and fits like crap.

I'm definitly in for a FULL 3" intake that fits nicely for under 300 bucks and that can be delivered within a months or so, not within 6 months from here. Thanks in advance for some real good parts.

Yah make a full 3" that fits good and I'll probly buy it. I wouldnt mind grinding the hole going into the fender well to fit the piping. No big deal.

And I'm saying you don't need to cut the hole to fit a 3" through. Fujita, JBP, have done it but fit like crap. Make a 3" that fits and a lot of us will buy it. RDfabs 3" supposedly fits perfect and is prob what I'm going to buy.

I had Fujita, worked great but fitment was horrible. I took it off and have been running stock airbox til someone brings out a nice 3" that fits.

Thanks Rebel, can't wait to see the finished product!

x2 to these posts. And make it look better than JBP's as well! Please!

Like the Rebel Auto Worxs emblem on it and stuff, and a 3 inch intake that fits perfectly. I would buy that thing so fast!

Scythe, check out RDfabs intake. Full 3", one piece design, and is supposed to fit perfectly. I don't know why I didn't buy one already lol.

Whats the site? I used to like JBP's stuff, but damn those welds are ugly, and I heard it doesn't fit at all.

I'm down to buy...As long as it is clean, and prefrebly a small logo...I think big ass logos are slightly "rice" IMO. (i refuse to debate that) but Make it fit great and I'll buy.

If I go with a Rebel turbo kit so the intake of this particular thread isn't suited right ? So the turbo kit will probably come with another tubing size and different routing right ?

yes the intake would be on the passenger side with the turbo kit, so completely different

I would buy one..... make sure it has enough clearance for the brake lines on the 07s.... im guessing thats the big issue for K&N when i looked into a intake. Also sell it with a aem dry flow filter if possible. I would prefer to get a dry flow filter over a oiled filter so I dont have to worry about the maf sensor
