i might get the muffler sooner then i thought, i called a local magnaflow dealer today, he said the 3 inch catback will cost me 220$, + the resonator, apparently they have a resonator that will quiet my 3" piping down to 94 decibals, legal limit is 95!

I think that the 3" is going to be too big. Like i said earlier, majority of the people that have 3" exhausts would gain more power if they switched to a 2.5". but since they gained power on their 3" they don't realize that.
Because you make more power with smaller pulleys

Generally speaking if you have atleast a 2.8 or smaller with full supporting mods you will see gains with 3'' over 2.5''

The only thing i will be missing as far as bolt on goes is the H/E, light weight crank pully, And manifold

anything to back this up? i just don't see it requiring enough flow to do anything. 2.8 and a downpipe is not alot of mods. if he had a ported blower, nitrous, and a few other things i would say go 3'. but without that stuff, i just predict some lost velocity.

Get your blower ported by steigmier, a header along with a 2.7"-2.6" setup and then a 3" exhaust will be just fine! Then you will be moving enough air to really get to benefit from the exhaust! ...I wouldnt suggest it unless your really shooting for some bigger HP mods though.. a blower port, header and 2.6-2.7 IMO is a must.
