You can run what you want, but you shouldn't run a 2.5" pulley in the first place. It's doesn't present many positive effects but it will negatively affect many components of your engine including the supercharger.

Size does matter but dont get caught up in all the 2.6, 2.5, 2.4 crap. I know it sounds cool to say "I have a 2.5" pulley" but you will look stupid when you blow your engine. Just make sure to run a safe size with your setup. Without custom tuning (and someone who knows what they are doing) I wouldn't recommend anything lower then a 2.7" pulley with 60# injectors.

There was a huge shift about a year ago where a lot of people went to 60# injectors and a 2.5/2.6 pulley just because it was finally available through aftermarket vendors. Now I am starting to see people smarten up a little and go with safer setups. And safer doesn’t always mean slower.

actualy, anything under 2.55" will overspin your blower....so you will get the same hp running a 2.55" pulley vs a 2.3"

but the 2.3" will burn up your bearings.

I just made the leap to a 2.7 and 60lb injectors. Trust me, for now it's enough.

make sure you have ALL of the cooling mods and money set aside for the pistons when #4 decides to go

Im running a 2.6 with 60's and the car is a beast. I was customed tuned by bcp though. Like said above get cooling mods. I have meth injection and a heat exchanger. Going to add a dual pass later on this summer.

lmao... a 2.5" pulley is NEVER safe. and yes, less than a 2.6" will overspin the blower, ruining the bearings and creating excessive heat. i believe the maximum rpm of the m62 blower is 17,000rpm. unless you replace the bearings with the 20,000rpm bearings
