2.7 pulley

if you get a 2.7 pulley what other upgrades besides a belt would you need for the pulley to fit and work well? any pulley boys products or can you just throw the 2.7 pulley on and a belt and be done?

yeah i knew the tune and injectors. but no other pulleys need to be changed. just pop off the stock on and throw the 2.7 on, a belt, tune and injectors and its good to go?

even though im not a grease monkey...i think its pretty wise to get some good cooling mods with a pulley smaller than 2.8 IMO

I think hes asking if you need a new hub.....and i THINK yes, you will need a new hub if you have the stock hub on.

I think your going to need to machine the SC snout too. As far as I know, the BilletFlow pulley is the only one that fits over the stock snout.

I actually offer a 2.7 for the GM stage 2 hub that fits with no snout machining. Also, if you go with my complete modular pulley system a 2.6 will fit without snout machining!

You need a hub, if you get a 2.7 pulley go with ante, hes awesome

Here is the list

Supercharger Pulley Hub (Stage 2 GM)

Supercharger Pulley 2.7 (Nates pulley, getthe 4 bolts to, use blue threadlock)

Bigger Injectors 60# Siemenz

Custom Tune (This is the biggest one!)

Belt Tentioner (R.A.W Sells one I think)

I suggest a intake and exhaust, whichever you prefer.

That should be it. Thats what you need to do it right.

Also the Stage 3 kit requires you to have the Stage 2 kit already installed. They do not sell just a Stage 3 kit, tis a upgrade kit from stage 2 to stage 3.

the 2.6 barely clears.

the 2.7 clears just fine

you better pray a lot, or shift before 6700

If you plan on going with a pulley system and you're currently stock I wouldn't suggest the GM style hub since it limits the size pulley you can run. If however you do want to use that style setup, I can make a GM style hub out of stainless steel which has a smaller diameter and will allow you to go down to 2.6 w/o snout machining.

I believe most people running a 2.7 are either using an oversized or adjustable tensioner to limit the belt slip with that small of a pulley.

2.8, stage 2 belt. good to go.

with the 2.7 you can run without a bigger tensionor, but you risk glazing the belt in a matter of two months
