2.8 Pulley Makes Me Sputter!!
Ok, I really need some help on this one!I just installed my 2.8 ZZP pulley, after fighting with the damn bolts for a few hours. I started my car and it idled perfect, even better then I remember! I decided to go get some fuel for the morning and I soon found out that AS SOON as I go into boost, the car starts sputtering REALLY BAD!! If I hold the throttle down for a little bit, it continues to sputter and then the CEL flashes on and off for about 30secs and then turns off!? I'm not sure why the CEL is not "latching"? At least then I could get the code! Has anyone had this issue after intalling a smaller pulley?? NEED HELP!
u can run any pulley u want on stage 2....wether or not ur engine responds or runs good to it is a differnet thing.....60lbs are RECOMENDED for a 2.8 yes
so...if u want to run a 2.8 i recomend geting 60's and a tune which defeats the whole purpose of stage 2

theres people running 2.8's on 42# but with a good tune, not off the stage 2 tune.. I don't care what anyone says, it is not SAFE to assume that your car is one of those freaks that can handle 2.8 fine on stage 2 tune.

So do you think that if I bring the 2.8 with me when I get it tuned that I'll be able to use the 42.5lb injectors with the 2.8 on a good tune?

talk to area, mdub, wickedss2005, etc. them as well as people they have tuned have ran 2.8's off the 42#'s without a problem. If you have a reputable trustworthy person that knows what he/she is doing then yes

probably not for long. As stated above you will be maxing out, more than maxing out the duty cycle on those 42s, even with a good tune. Dont cheap out, 60lb injectors are alot cheaper than a new motor....

i would go get a set of 60s and a tune quick before u blow that car up. Your def running out of fuel and messing the car up really bad to get the flashing check engine light!!!

Ok, so the only additional parts I should need are the 60# injectors and a tune?
