Is that a correct statement?

it all depends on the tune. im running stock cooling and a 2.8. have been for 2 years now. and i just went back to a stock header 6 monthes ago as the badmab header i had cracked. but i run the crap out of my car.

a wideband is pointless unless you get retuned. or if you actually see that youre running ridiculously lean at wot and actually decide to get retuned or keep off the foot. i cant keep off of wot either way, so if your like me, getting it retuned is option #1 if you have suspicions

afr is not the only important aspect, but timing is as well. too much timing can wear your motor out, so if you can monitor knock retard any way, through interceptors or hpt, that would be ideal as well

in a perfect world, yes. if the upper levels of the maf curve were fit properly to the lower data points that were hit while tuning, maybe so. you really might not notice a difference dropping from a 2.9 to 2.8, but you might going from a 3.0 to 2.6 or whatever.

not saying that is advisable, however

Well I wanted to make it reliable first, but I won't be beating on it as I'll be learning manual
