2.8" pulley on stage 2 injectors...
2.8" pulley on stage 2 injectors...
Now that I finally have my cooling mods installed I've been thinking about going with a 2.8" pulley & a custom dyno tune. My question is, is it safe to run a 2.8" pulley on stage 2 42# injectors? Also how much psi would I be running w/ this setup?
Keep the suggestions coming guys. I'm open to any & all ideas. I want a reliable daily driver that I can be proud of on the track & impress occasional "V8 guys" on the street.
Current setup:
*GMPP stage 2 kit
*InJen CAI
*Custom 2.5" cat-back

i have a 2.8" pulley and stage 2 injectors, and it seemed fine for a time but after over a year with that setup the car cant go much over 6k without acting up. i do not have money for the proper injectors and tune but my co-worker has hptuners and i was thinking for $50, couldnt I buy the credits and use the boost control solenoid to a different duty cycle and decrease boost in the high rpms so that my injectors dont go past thier duty cyle and i can rev it up to 7k again?
That's the option I've been thinking about. I already have the dual pass intercooler plate & big front mount heat exchanger. Is the S/C snout going to need to be shaved down to fit the 2.6" pulley is my only concern?

if you want to use the full potential of those injectors you will need alot more than a 2.6"
more like TVS or Turbo. not to mention those will net way cooler cylinder/intake temps than a 2.6" on a Heaton blower.

That is true. TVS is the best way to go if you do not want to do a turbo swap. My 2.6 pullied car was fine for 8 months and a few trips down the track w/o cooling mods, but I wouldn't do that again. If you order a ZZP 2.6 it'll fit the ZZP or Intense hub and not need machining of the snout.
