2.9 pulley installed!!

Well i finally got my 2.9 pulley put on tonight...it really wasnt a big deal at all my uncle helped me and we got it done in less than 10 minutes and my stage2 bolts had blue loctite on them...a hammer and a chisel to loosen up the bolts got the job done.

this car runs like a ****** beast now...no more waiting for the boost to build its just there...it also seems to run a lot smoother

thanks nate!!!

p.s. for those of you that dont know you can get your pulleys from...
www.smoothflowpulleys.com to avoid ebay

so you can run a 2.9" pulley on stock internals and stg2 tune, belt, and injectors without blowing up your car...

adding to that, anything under 2.85" you will need 60lb injectors and tuning.

Heh, a buddy of mine told some guy who just got a cobalt that he should be ok to run a 2.5" on stock setup. He called me and asked me what pulley I had, and when I told him, he goes "oh ****, I just told this kid he could run a 2.5 or 2.6 on his, I thought thats what you had"

Our 2.9 in this colder weather (anything less than 53 or so degrees) with w/stock tune is nosing over lean at 6K+ rpms in 1st gear. Warmer weather its fine, but cold weather needs a tune.
