2.9 pulley on...problems HELP

ok so i got my 2.9 and it squeeks like crazy




is the piece that is squeeking

do i need to get the belt tightened? it seems like it is bouncing up and down

(NOTE* i DO have the gm stage 2 belt on)

But Yes I think you need to get the Stage 2 Belt ASAP, it should fix the problem.

yes, it is bouncing around squeeking...would i have to tension the belt for that to stop?

if your tensioner is bouncing around squeaking, then you probably need a new tensioner..
its a self tensioner so you would not be able to "tension" the belt any more

You should put on the stage 2 belt with that small of a pully for one thing then second you need to make sure the belt is in all grooved specially the pully under the superchager

dude, i put my 2.85 on and mine started squealing too. I left work and got on it pretty hard and the tensioner gave out and shredded my belt... thanks god I was only a mile from the dealership...ever drive a SS/SC with the blower detached? ***** man, there are none there...

another way to eliminate the belt slipping is pulley boys makes a different tensioner bracket that will take up the slack in the belt
