2005 SS/SC's

Hey guys, im looking to purchase an SS/SC but idn if i should get a 2005. They are the first year model, and ive heard they had alot of problems. Would i be better off getting a 2006 or 2007, or is a 2005 really not that bad. I know they had a bunch of recalls, but wht else is wrong with the car thats makes it so much wrose then the other years?

please any input is greatly apperciated.

i have an 05, havent had any big issues. the lsj never changed, neither did the suspention, clutch, transmission, basicly the whole car (aside from some thing interier stuff). the only recalls i know of are the headlight non compliance and headliner impact foam update, something thats applicable to all 05 cobalts.

I have an 05 and it is driven hard.... no big problems with it.... and the only recall i got was a-pillar air bag. mine didn't come with them so they recalled it and they put them in, no charge.

I feel the 05 is the best year of them all. It stands out because of the badges they are in the middle of the door rather then at the bottom like all the rest of years.

Nothing is different about the 05's. Rememeher that the redlines were out in 04 so really 05 is like the 2nd year

I wouldn't that far. I've beaten a couple modded 06 and 07 ss/sc in my 05. Even beat a 06 when I was stock.
