2006 LSJ rebuild?

hey all , been a long time, I have bought myself a 2006 SS/SC that has a bad motor.
I work at a dealership so I could get a long block for cost.
or I could put some aftermarket goodies in her.

what is everyone using for rebuild parts. headgaskets? ( brand type) sleeves? pistons?

thanks

generaly people are using diamond pistons zzp or k1 rods some are using tom mohlner rods stock head gasket and such total seal rings are another good choice

this is a pic of a zzp block being resleeved with a much better sleeve then stock

here is a block being resleeved with a much stronger sleeve then stock

there is a lot that can be done just need to have a deep wallet

Rebuild the 2007 long block.

No need to purchase a new block.

What's wrong with the flywheel? Most can e resurfaced. If not buy a new one. And you could take your spare long block, put diamonds and total seals in and it would be good running. Depending on your power goals

not sure if anything is wrong with it yet. its not out. but the last two clutch's iv done needed a flywheel ( on LSJ cars.) they were very heat checked.

not sure if i should post this in here or in the tuning section. but i already had this thread going so why not lol

i got my car hooked up to GM TIS. to check the tune, but the descriptions in the factory tuning really don't tell me much.
i have all the numbers from them just wondering if anyone can tell me if they are the GM stage 2 numbers.
