While waiting for a new batch of Twin Screws to come in we thought we would test something new.

We took a throttle body off a chevy Colorado 4.2L and using an adapter plate attached it to the stock supercharger. This new TB is 3.5" giving the ability for more air flow.

Results showed 1.5psi increase in boost and 2 lb/hr increase flow through the MAF sensor. We will have dyno results soon. From the butt dyno we can definitely see an increase in the lower end, more of a kick when you stomp on it.

Also we had the throttle hooked up to our full 3" intake all stainless steel and powder coated (this is a good item for anyone who has seen wear marks in their aluminum intake)

The price for the TB Spacer is $100US and $300US for the intake. $389 if you get both.

$49.99 for the spacer with a minimum of 20 people

The spacer will come with:

- Proper notch for the evac line
- a grove with gasket installed so you don't have to play around with messy liquid gasket
- longer stainless steel bolts.

Remember this spacer also provides more area for air to be stored for quicker response.

You will have to purchase your own 3.5" throttle body which you can find at a local wreckers or dealer.

Is the actual throttle bottle the same difference being in size?

What about the connections and sensors?

So if you have a cold air intake already you would have to trim it to work? And would'nt you have to tune the car for a new throttle body? and one last question. This is just a spacer for 100 bucks right?

Looking forward to more information.

sorry guys, yes you have to change the ETC scalar area parameter in the tune. We also found that the Air/Fuel got slightly leaner with the increase in air flow so this would be something to fix aswell. But then again if you are running a GM tune it is rich to start with. The effect of this upgrade is similar to getting a larger intake or exhaust.

We can give you guys a deal on the tune if anyone wants us to change this parameter, the cost will be $50US.

we did not trim our intake, but it made it a bit tighter to fit. You can cut the coupler if you have the Fujita, if you have an injen (2.5") I recommend upgrading to our 3"

yes the spacer is $100 which comes with a gasket

if we get a least 10 people intested we can drop the price to $89.99 for the spacer

would this basically be a waste if you didnt have a 3 inch intake?
since the restriction would still be in the intake piping regardless of the size of the TB?

wouldn't say it would be a complete waste as you still have more area per throttle position. Only testing would confirm this

does the new TB bold directly to the SC or is that "spacer" a "adapter" because the bolt pattern is different?

Mods:
2.7" pulley
60lb injectors
water injection
Rebel 2.5" downpipe
GMPP cat back
Rebel 3" intake

Before bigger TB: (NOTE: did not log AFR here)

http://www.rebelautoworxs.com/Logs/stock.hpl

After bigger TB: (NOTE: did not change the tune here except for the ETC scalar area parameter, so you can see there was an increase in air flow so it ran leaner and knocked a bit)

http://www.rebelautoworxs.com/Logs/2nd%20gear.hpl

Scanner config we use:
